New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the ‘Kartavya Path’, a newly christened stretch from Rashtrapati Bhawan to India Gate and unveil the 28-foot statue of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose on Thursday. The mega event is expected to be jam-packed with attendees and elaborate arrangements are in place for the same.
Here’s the full schedule of the inauguration of the ‘Kartavya Path’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today-
-7 pm:PM Modi will arrive at the venue to unveil the statue of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose at 7 pm today. Afterwards, at 7:13 pm, he will take a walk to the India Gate and around the fountain to the stepped plaza.Related News |
Further, PM Modi is set to watch a performance with NDMC children at the stepped garden at 7:17 pm and take a walk through the Canal bridge at 7:22 pm. At 7:25 pm, he will interact with the ‘Shramjeevis.’
-7:30 pm: PM Modi will inaugurate the exhibition of ‘before and after of Kartavya Path’ and arrive on stage.
-7:45 pm: Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri will give the welcome remarks. A 1940 patriotic song called ‘Subhmangal Gaan’ will be played at 7:50 pm. At 7:55, a time-lapse audio-visual of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose will be played.
-8 pm: An audio-visual ‘Kartavya Path – Before and After’ will be launched at 8 pm.
-8:05 pm: PM Modi will address the event and will depart afterwards.
The central part of the national capital will also witness some traffic restrictions as the avenue will be open to the public. Officials noted that general traffic movement will be diverted at specific roads from 6 pm to 9 pm.
According to the traffic advisory issued by the Delhi Police, commuters using two0wheelers, three-wheelers and four-wheelers are advised to avoid roads such as W-Point, Mathura Road, Ashoka Road, Q-Point, Prithvi Raj Road, Akbar Road, Subramanian Bharti Marg, APJ Abdul Kalam Road, Rajesh Pilot Marg between the said time stretch.
